The name Kung Fu is simply a Chinese
saying for hard work. A businessman who works hard
and honestly to establish a successful business has
Kung Fu. The Shaolin warriors (known as WuSeng) are
notorious for their long and rigorous training
schedules, which is why the word KungFu has become
so closely associated with Chinese Martial Arts.
Beyond the basic forms that all beginning students
are expected to learn, there are forms designed for
every type of person. A slower, more powerful person
will probably learn different forms than a faster,
lighter person. There are forms that emphasize
power, grace, speed, flexibility, and even
acrobatics.
Some forms offer more traditional movements with
combat applications mixed into the movements. Other
forms offer a more modern performance style
approach. There are also Qinna (Grappling) and Sanda
(Sparring) classes offered which teach a purely
combat oriented approach to Chinese Martial Arts.
Beyond the hand forms and self defense classes,
there are the weapon forms. Weapon training is a
feature that few other martial arts offer and that
no other martial art can offer in such an extent. To
see a selection of our various weapons, please visit
the weapons page on this site.
Our teachers are well versed in all of these skills
and their level of expertise is second to none.
Classes are offered to students as young as 5.
